Purpose of survival

Before the birth of any intelligent species in this world of ours, life was always about survival. Life picked out the species which were the most suitable to flourish in the ever dynamic environment of our dear planet. Every species on the face of the earth today is serving a purpose.

In the human evolutionary story, the modern human, developed unique skills, and tools to survive. Life picked us over numerous other hominid species, like the Neanderthals, and the Homo Erectus. In doing so, we have been picked for a specific purpose. Evolution moves forward to perfect its creations. Our higher intelligence made us a candidate for the perfect species, that would last till the end of time. It is within the capacity of humans to also protect other species from the eraser of evolution called extinction.

We might want ask ourselves; Are we fulfilling that purpose for which we were selected? Are using the tools of survival gifted to us by providence, to realize evolution's design for perfection?
We have built great monuments, compiled great works of literature, composed melodious symphonies, created miraculous potions for fighting disease and also for looking younger, and we also fought great wars. However, we still haven't made it to that point , where we might respect a fellow human, as another survivor picked by evolution, with whom we will have to work to achieve that ultimate design for perfection.

This blog is a tribute to the intelligence of the human being, and also a reminder that we are a long way away from our goal, that we are moving towards destruction than progress. If evolution finds us unfit for perfection, then we shall, in due course of time be erased, and a new species shall soon take our place.
